エコロンG マジック洗濯ボール

 今回試したのは、日の丸産業株式会社のエコロンGマジックボールです。

この手の水回り改善グッズは好きで、ついつい購入してしまいます。ハズレもあるのですが、ちゃんと効能があるものに出会ってしまうと、もしかしてこれも・・・？と、期待を持ってしまいます。

この商品は、「銀および厳選した国産備長炭を活用して、洗濯機に入れるだけで、洗浄力の向上、除菌防臭効果を発揮する洗濯ボール」なのだそう。

銀に殺菌力があるのは、その通り。

炭に吸着能力があるのも、その通り。

でも、界面活性剤の入った洗濯槽でその力が出せるとは少々信じ難い。というのが第一印象でした。

説明を見ると、洗浄力が向上するのですすぎの回数が１回で良いとか、洗浄力と濯ぎ回数など因果関係が分かりにくい説明がちょいちょい出てきます。これらは、せっかくの効果を自ら台無しにしてしまう説明でした。

で、前置きが長くなりましたが、梅雨時期も使い続けてみての印象としては、生乾き臭がする頻度が心持ち減った感じです。感動！とまでは行かないものの、ある程度実感はできるので、効果はあるレベルの商品と言えそうです。

ただ、使い続けることで、どうしてもこれ自体が汚れを吸着してしまうので、これだけに頼っての過信は禁物。

というのも、使う前の写真と比べると、ずいぶん毛羽立ちましたし、黒ずんできたなぁというのが今の我が家のマジックボール。写真は自主規制により掲載せず（笑）。でも、マジックボール自体に嫌な臭いが出ていないので、やっぱり効果はあるんだなぁと改めて思った次第。

I have a tendency to purchase these kinds of cleaning improvement goods and sometimes they don't work as well as I hope, but when I come across something that does have an effect, I get excited and think, "Maybe this one will work too?".

According to the product description, the EcoRon G Magic Ball utilizes silver and specially-selected domestic activated charcoal to improve cleaning power and anti-bacterial and deodorizing effects, simply by putting it in the washing machine.

While it's true that silver has anti-bacterial properties and activated charcoal has adsorption abilities, I had my doubts about whether those abilities would be effective in a washing machine filled with detergent. The explanations also mention that the cleaning power improves to the point where only one rinsing cycle is needed, which is hard to understand the causal relationship. These explanations, in my opinion, can potentially undermine the effectiveness of the product.

After using the EcoRon G Magic Ball during the rainy season, I noticed that the frequency of clothes smelling musty when left to dry has decreased. While it's not enough to be impressed, I can feel the effects to some extent, so I think it's a product that does have some level of effectiveness.

However, since the Magic Ball itself adsorbs dirt over time, it's important not to rely on it too much. Also, when I compare a photo of it before and after using it, the fibers of the ball are quite matted and it looks dirty. I do not have the photo to show you, but the Magic Ball itself doesn't have a bad smell, so I think the effects are real.
